Something about making stuff cute is so fun. Even the simplest little recipe card, decorated with some lines and dots. Isn't it better than a 3 x 5 card? Yes! And for the record. The idea was inspired by the Moosewood Cookbook. It's very cute. :)

eraser stamps & more

I don't have many inspiring words to go with these pictures... but with that being said, I had the most fun the other night with some new creative ventures! I had a ball making some stamps out of the girls old erasers! Yep, that's right, good ol' pink rubber erasers! Carved up in imitation of these from an amazing workshop... I had been eyeing them for a couple of weeks. Of course I wanted to think up a way to make my own! So here are my first attempts! And it was so fun that I think I will be keeping my eye out for rubber erasers all the time!! (I really like the hot dog vendor cart & the flower truck!)

And Eva made some irresistible prototype correspondence sets & recipe cards... soon to be scanned in and (hopefully) printed out & up on our etsy site for the holidays!!

msc: tourist edition

When we are out and about, I always have my camera in hand. Although I am not a skilled photographer like my friend, friend, friend or sister...... I still like to try to capture the cool things I notice and the way I see things. Sometimes it works... sometimes not so much.... Last weekend we explored Port San Luis, which we've never done for some reason. It is AMAZing. Ocean life, sea culture... fishermen, pelicans, crabs, sea lions, dolphin... so much to take in. And the pier itself is super cool, too. These photos are my attempt at 'making stuff cute: the tourist edition'

my trial run.

This is going to be my trial... run. I've been thinking for a number of weeks about starting a new craft blog.... actually since the beginning of summer. And here it is, September. So... make stuff cute? Excellent grammar, I know... but that is pretty much what I try to do. Making stuff cute is kinda my favorite thing to do. So, I thought it would be fun to document my favorite making stuff cute... stuff. Here goes.....
